Accessibility monitoring for agencies

Find out when a deploy breaks accessibility.

Skipnav runs automated WCAG 2.1 AA testing across every client site your agency maintains, and emails you when a change introduces a failure that wasn't there last week. Reports go out under your branding, not ours.

No overlay widget. No compliance guarantees. No sales call.

A one-off scan tells you a number. That number isn't the useful part.

Any free tool will tell you a site has 40 accessibility issues. What actually helps is knowing which three appeared on Tuesday, on which page, and probably from which change. That takes history, and it's the whole product.

Built around how agencies actually work

Priced per portfolio, not per site

Every other vendor charges by the site, which punishes you for having clients. $149/month covers fifteen of them.

Template defects called out

When one rule fails on most of a site's pages it's almost always one defect in a shared template. We say so, so you fix once instead of forty times.

Reports carry your logo

PDFs go out branded as your agency's work, because that's what they are. Bill them into an existing care plan.

Nothing to install

No script on your clients' sites, no plugin, no DNS change. We test the public pages the way a visitor's browser would.

What Skipnav is not

Automated testing finds roughly 57% of WCAG issues. That figure comes from the authors of axe-core, the open-source engine we run. It is the honest ceiling for any automated scanner, including ours and including every competitor's.

A machine cannot tell whether alternative text is meaningful, whether a page can be navigated end to end with a screen reader, or whether the reading order makes sense. Those require a person.

So: Skipnav does not certify compliance with the ADA, WCAG, or Section 508. It is not legal advice, and it will not make anyone lawsuit-proof. In 2025 the FTC ordered an accessibility vendor to pay $1 million over claims of that kind. We would rather tell you the limit up front than sell past it.

What it does: finds the mechanical failures fast, across a lot of sites, repeatedly, and tells you the moment a new one appears. That is a real and useful thing, and it is all we claim.

Straight answers

Isn't axe-core free? Why would I pay you?

It is free, and if you have two or three sites you should run it yourself — genuinely. We'd rather say that than take $49 from someone who doesn't need us.

What you'd pay for is that it runs on schedule across a whole portfolio and tells you what changed. A single scan can't do that; it has no memory.

Do you fix the issues?

No, deliberately. Remediation is development work, and it's work you're better placed to do — or bill your client for. Some agencies use the report as the scope document for a paid accessibility sprint.

Is this an overlay or a widget?

No. Nothing gets installed on your clients' sites. Overlays have repeatedly failed to prevent litigation and courts have not treated them as conformance; we don't sell one.

Will scanning slow my clients' sites down?

No. We request one page at a time with a delay between requests, honour robots.txt, and never touch anything behind a login. A weekly scan of a 50-page site is a rounding error in that site's traffic.

Do I have to get on a call?

No. Everything is on this page, questions get answered by email. If you want a call you can have one, but it isn't a step.
